Job Title:

Direct Support Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Assist with transportation to appointments, social events, and leisure activities.
  • Encourage independence and self-advocacy among individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in caregiving or a related field.
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
