Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This includes assisting with daily living tasks, supporting individuals in their daily routines, and advocating for their needs and goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Support individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Assist individuals in developing and implementing their individualized program plans (IPPs) to achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Provide transportation for individuals to appointments, activities, and social events.
  • Monitor and report any incidents or concerns related to the individuals' health, safety, and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting individuals.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in caregiving or a related field preferred.
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid California Driver's License.
