Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst II to join our team in Mountain View, CA. As a key member of our sourcing and procurement team, you will be responsible for evaluating and optimizing sourcing strategies, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and developing and implementing optimized processes and procedures to support GBS (Sourcing and Finance).

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing Analysis: Evaluate and optimize sourcing strategies to ensure alignment with business objectives and cost-saving goals.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing sourcing and procurement processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements that drive efficiency and ROI.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data to assess supplier performance, market trends, and sourcing outcomes and provide insights for strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand sourcing needs, address challenges, and provide insights for strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports on sourcing activities, highlighting key metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Experience in business process improvement and analysis with experience in sourcing/procurement/payables.
  • Ability to drive change, influence others, work independently as well as lead, and participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Able to effectively deliver clear, concise, and actionable messages both written and verbally, at all levels.
  • Able to facilitate and work cross-functionally and across boundaries to accomplish UAT goals.
  • Able to effectively drive action through communication of upcoming milestones, tasks, and goals.
  • Drives the right level of accountability and shares responsibility for outcomes.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. Using metrics to track and improve performance.
  • Anticipates risks and opportunities informed by data to achieve best outcomes.
  • Works well autonomously in an ambiguous environment; proactively asks questions to build clarity.
  • Quickly acquires new ways of seeing things, and pivots as circumstances change.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with procurement processes (without being the primary focus).
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
