About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Facilities Technician 4 to join our team at New Journey, a Genesis10 company. This is a 3-month Contract position with the potential for extension or conversion.

Job Summary

The primary function of a Facilities Technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings, ensuring they remain safe, secure, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the facility to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems to prevent downtime.
  • Maintain general and preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management to ensure optimal building performance.
  • Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed to ensure energy efficiency.
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested to support business operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 8-10 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
