Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Granville Health System. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical laboratory science and be certified in MLS/MT (ASCP) or MT (NCA) or MT (AMT).

Key Responsibilities:
Investigate problems with equipment, test results, specimens, and/or workflow. Monitor daily operation of the laboratory section or work area. Participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments. Perform non-routine, more complex test procedures including special chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic laboratory tests. Observe test reactions and provide data. Perform quality control and equipment maintenance in the appropriate laboratories. Report results to healthcare providers. Consult with healthcare providers regarding test results. Review test results to ensure accuracy of report and timely correction of errors. May assist section supervisors in the development of new test methods, writing procedures, and staff education.

Contribute to the laboratory performance improvement program to improve skills, lab productivity, communication and teamwork within the hospital.


Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. Certification in MLS/MT (ASCP) or MT (NCA) or MT (AMT).
