Job Overview

Associated Supermarket Group (ASG) is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Trade, Promotion, and Credit Teams, you will be responsible for analyzing customer disputed statement invoices and balances. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining insurance and UCC database information, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines, and interacting with Program Administrators, Collectors, Credit Committee Underwriters, and other finance team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with team members to provide dispute insights.
  • Issue credit/charge-off recommendations.
  • Reconcile large multi-store billing and pricing issues.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies involving pricing, terms, and payment differences.
  • Request credits or reapply balances.
  • Resolve unapplied cash issues.
  • Collect outstanding balances as needed.
  • Maintain accurate account spreadsheets and data collection efforts.
  • Clarify final audit results and remove any doubt for store owners or vendors.
  • Support collection efforts by preparing and submitting account documentation.
  • Compile account documentation for litigation purposes.
  • Participate in special projects and system user acceptance testing as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
  • 2-4 years of experience in finance, collections, or retail.
  • Understanding of Account Receivables.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
  • Strong reconciliation, analytical, and business problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
