Job Title: Grants and Financial Budget Analyst

The Grants and Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in creating and managing Excel tools to budget for new grant opportunities, track grant and unrestricted spending, and forecast and report on spending to donors and the board.

This role also provides significant analysis and collaboration to maximize organizational use of funding and to review and assess the grants budgeting process.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Reconciliation and Analysis: Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Strategic Proposal Support: Collaborate with the team to develop and submit proposals to secure funding for new grants and projects.
  • External Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports to donors, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Tools for Sub-awards: Develop and maintain Excel tools to track and manage sub-award budgets, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to donors and stakeholders.

A successful candidate will bring deep experience in financial analysis, development, and design of complex Excel tools, as well as continuous trouble shooting and system improvement.

Requirements:
  • Five years of work experience required, with a focus in comprehensive grants accounting and reporting of multi-year, multi-geographical grants up to $25MM preferred.
  • Expertise in QuickBooks and Advanced Excel, with the ability to build and improve complex tools and reports.
