Surgical Services Director

The Surgical Services Director is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the surgical services team. This includes developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care
• Provide leadership and direction to the surgical services team
• Develop and manage budgets to ensure cost-effective and efficient use of resources
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
• Participate in departmental strategic planning and policy-making
Requirements
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Typically requires 5 years of experience in Nursing, including 1 year of supervisory experience in managing staff and budgets
• Advanced clinical and technical knowledge of the Operating Room
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions
The Surgical Services Director will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly. The team member will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, radiation, blood, and body fluids on a continuous basis. The team member will be required to wear gloves, goggles, and gowns on an as-needed basis. The team member will operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
