We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direct supervision of an RN or physician to facilitate safe and effective care during invasive and operative procedures.
  • Ensure that the OR is safe, equipment is functioning properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
  • Facilitate a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree
  • Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program CST preferred or equivalent military training program.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a surgical technologist in the same area or in similar day-to-day situations in a hospital operating room setting.
  • AST membership preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or ability to obtain upon hire

The Surgical Services arena encompasses Orthopedics, General & Vascular, Gynecology, Podiatry, Urology, and Ophthalmology surgical procedures. Our Day Surgery department is an outpatient surgical unit that provides care before and after surgery, heart catheterization procedures, radiology procedures, and GI procedures.

ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial is certified by The Joint Commission as a Joint Replacement Center of Excellence. We offer the MAKOplasty and Anterior Hip Arthroplasty procedure to patients.
