Job Summary:

The Director of Patient Access is responsible for supporting and directing the organization's strategic and goal planning functions for the Admissions Department. This role oversees the admitting flow and patient access to care function, ensuring effective communication between admitting, medical, nursing, clinical, business development, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and supervise a team of Patient Access staff in Inpatient, Residential, and Outpatient services

Establish goals for the intake and admissions departments aligned with the organization's mission

Communicate goals to staff and develop methods of measuring goal achievement

Conduct regular meetings with individual staff and teams to review key performance indicators and implement performance improvement measures

Develop and maintain up-to-date policies and procedures

Recognize and develop top talent with a focus on succession planning and leadership development

Develop and oversee ongoing staff development programs

Ensure messaging amongst all staff is timely, consistent, and accurate

Embrace Salesforce as a tool to enhance reporting and analysis

Use Salesforce to distribute reports and create direction for dashboards needed for improved communication between departments and all levels of employees

Lead the team to embrace and improve based on data analysis and transparency

Generate reports as needed by members of the Executive Team and other functions

Requirements:

Minimum five years of managerial experience

Minimum ten years of experience working in a front-end department of a behavioral health organization

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or an associated behavioral health science, or equivalent experience

Master's degree preferred

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
