About the RoleAs a seasoned Behavior Specialist, you will play a pivotal part in supporting students exhibiting intensive behavior needs within Dalton Public Schools. This role is centered around providing high-quality services to empower students to achieve their full potential.

Location: Dalton, GA
Hours: Full-time, itinerant role across multiple school campuses
Age Range: Supporting students ages 3-22

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to inform effective interventions
  • Develop and implement tailored behavior intervention plans to support student success
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement social and behavioral strategies that foster academic and social growth
  • Provide expert support across home, school, and community environments to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Special Education, School Psychology, School Counseling, or School Social Work required
  • BCBA or RBT certification preferred (or in progress)
CompensationA competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum reflects the complexity and importance of this role.
