Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team in NW Georgia. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will work closely with developmental pediatricians, board-certified behavior analysts, and other health professionals to provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment plans for children with developmental delays and behavioral challenges.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients from birth to 10 years old.
  • Collaborate with the psychology team to administer, score, evaluate, and report intellectual, cognitive, behavioral, personality, and neuropsychological test data.
  • Provide individual and family psychotherapy and/or counseling to promote safety, understanding, and good mental health.
  • Participate in the development of educational programming recommendations based on assessment findings.
  • Work closely with families to modify behavioral disorders caused by delayed or hindered development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology, preferably Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology.
  • APA-accredited internship/residency and APA-accredited doctorate program required.
  • Strong clinical diagnostic and testing skills.
  • Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of age-appropriate patient needs.
