Position Overview

The role involves managing all aspects of procurement and planning to align with organizational goals, policies, and requirements. This individual will oversee Capital Equipment purchasing to support the capital strategy and act as the primary contact between suppliers and end-users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the procurement of office supplies and capital investments, including obtaining quotes, negotiating pricing, and issuing purchase orders.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of purchase orders with company specifications and requirements.
  • Interpret and communicate material requirements derived from engineering documentation and customer specifications to suppliers.
  • Plan, schedule, and expedite purchase orders in line with management and operational objectives.
  • Establish and maintain visual management tools and performance metrics.
  • Support marketing and engineering goals by providing timely quotations.
  • Maintain communication regarding supplier delivery commitments with relevant stakeholders.
  • Build and nurture professional relationships with suppliers to ensure alignment with company and customer objectives.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve any invoice discrepancies promptly.
  • Report supplier performance issues to management and communicate any manufacturing flow disruptions.
  • Generate necessary reports, spreadsheets, and presentations while maintaining procurement documentation and supplier agreements.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives and foster a positive team environment.
  • Adhere to safety and environmental regulations, ensuring a clean and safe workspace.
  • Comply with the company's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process enhancements.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, particularly with large capital acquisitions.
