Overview

We are seeking a dedicated engineer to enhance the user experience expected from Apple devices within the Apple ecosystem. As part of the Beats Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the integration of hardware, software, and applications within a fully embedded operating system. Your responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of frameworks and advanced automation environments, essential for creating test flows and automation infrastructure. You will investigate use cases, system-level operations, and develop software to validate the functionality and performance of our systems.

Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will focus on designing and developing automated tools and tests aimed at deploying and maintaining frameworks in a continuous integration setting. Your tasks will include crafting test plans, debugging, isolating issues or bugs identified during test automation, and reporting results across various teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality testing
  • Expertise in defining, designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks
  • Strong commitment to quality and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience in coding for testing purposes
  • Experience in firmware and algorithm validation, particularly related to sensor technologies
  • Knowledge of validating machine learning models and algorithms
  • Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and the software development lifecycle

  • Familiarity with wireless standards (Bluetooth Classic/LE, WiFi, Thread) is preferred
Education & Experience

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Compensation & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides opportunities for growth as you develop within your role. The base pay range for this position is between $129,600 and $236,300, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the chance to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a variety of discounted products and free services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses related to career advancement at Apple.
