Senior Manager Accounts Payable

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager of Accounts Payable to lead and oversee the Accounts Payable team, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of obligations, including tax reporting, withholdings, and escheatment responsibilities.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a change agent, helping to streamline processes, enhance communication with stakeholders, and establish measurable key metrics.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a high degree of self-reliance and initiative.
Responsibilities:- Lead and oversee the operations of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of obligations.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Accounts Payable best practices, establishing and enforcing SOX-compliant internal controls to minimize financial and operational risks.
- Perform complex analyses and provide management reporting for stakeholders.
- Establish measurable key metrics for the team, driving achievement of metric-based goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and refine Accounts Payable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Build strong relationships with all stakeholders, addressing challenges with creativity and urgency, and handling resistance with professionalism.
- Foster team development by evaluating performance, improving productivity, and coaching team members for higher performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in Accounts Payable.
- At least 7 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Major ERP experience required, and Workday is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable systems.
- Knowledge of state tax laws and IRS regulations regarding reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a high degree of self-reliance and initiative.
