Senior Accounting Manager

Job DescriptionThis senior-level position is responsible for ensuring the accounting and operations functions are working accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to organize self and team to deliver against critical objectives and priorities, and the ability to collaborate and lead across multiple functions and roles.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Understand the end-to-end operational, financial, and systemic environment and key upstream and downstream processes that drive liability accruals.
- Enforce the Company's policies related to Service Purchase Order accrual accounting.
- Exercise good judgment in managing E2E accounting and operational risk with appropriate transparency.
- Ensure proper oversight of activities of the staff and develop the team to deliver results along with their own personal leadership growth.
- Clearly articulate point of view regarding accounting issues and work with stakeholders to resolve.
- Implement and maintain the required process and internal control environment and perform control procedures to ensure compliance with Company policy.
- Streamline systems and reporting tools to ensure efficient and accurate recording and proper classification of liabilities.
- Stay current on evolving Accounting Standards pronouncements and updates under prevailing regulatory bodies (FASB, SEC), incorporating into current Company policy as necessary.
- Anticipate risk, new/changed systems, process and accounting literature/regulations, assessing impact on current/future operations and overall environment.
- Bachelors' degree in Accounting/Finance with minimum of 8 years' post-graduate experience, or equivalent work experience. CPA required. MBA highly desirable.
- Software or SaaS industry experience a plus. Two or more years of public company audit experience.
- Experience managing teams with varying levels of experience. Ability to lead a team in a dynamic environment, managing multiple and ever-changing priorities, while consistently meeting tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Oracle R12, Blackline and Business Objects a plus.
