About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Sunrise Senior Living community in Sterling, VA. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall success of our community, including financial management, team leadership, and resident care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to deliver exceptional resident care and services.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the C-suite and Owner group to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of a $20 million Capital Expenditure (CapEx) renovation project.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a high level of quality care and service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and community partners to promote our services and build a positive reputation.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure the community's financial stability and growth.
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and services.
Requirements
  • College degree preferred; degree and management experience may be required per state/provincial requirements.
  • Administrators License / certification may be required per state/provincial requirements.
  • Prior General Manager/Administrator experience focused on growing both top and bottom lines; required length determined by type of community.
  • Previous management experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision, and leading a team through change.
  • Previous sales experience preferred, including building customer relationships, and resolving customer concerns.
  • Passion for working with seniors.
  • Demonstration of success in managing operating expenses.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations.
  • Proficient in organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment and problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office & Sunrise applications with the ability to learn new applications.
