We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to lead our efforts in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and capture excellence in this critical market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a marketing and business development strategy for the DHS account
  • Manage and execute the full business development life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals
  • Build a qualified pipeline of opportunities and help shape customer requirements
  • Drive differentiation in Leidos' solutions and create a compelling value proposition
  • Partner with the technology team and solution architects to coalesce the division's strategy along with the technology strategy
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in business development, with a proven track record of success in the DHS market
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to develop technical papers, volumes, and other products
  • Possess business and technical vision, with the ability to think strategically and analytically
  • Familiarity with online tools used by the Federal Government for solicitations
  • Experience in identifying and qualifying large business development programs, with an emphasis on opportunity qualification and shaping
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading people, teams, and programs
  • Experience working in or with DHS, with a strong understanding of the market and its requirements
  • Prior business development experience in any federal market segment
