About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Facilitation Director to join our team at National Rural Utilities Cooperative. As a key member of our Strategic Facilitation Services team, you will be responsible for delivering executive-level facilitation services to our member cooperatives across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate strategic planning, enterprise risk management, and other planning sessions for our member cooperatives' boards of directors and executive leadership teams.
  • Develop strategies and materials to enhance our strategic services and support the success of our member cooperatives in the evolving electric utility industry.
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight for the development and implementation of member-facing financial models, tools, and financial analyses.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a leadership position within an electric cooperative or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's of Business Administration or equivalent preferred.
  • Successful completion of multiple board and senior staff facilitations.
  • Exceptional strategic facilitation skills and a deep understanding of the electric cooperative industry.
  • Broad and proven understanding of strategic and operational functions of electric distribution, generation, and transmission businesses.
  • Thorough understanding of governance and operations of an electric cooperative.
  • Thorough understanding of the electric and cooperative industries, including financial statements and accounting requirements.
  • Comfortable answering complex financial, strategic, and operational questions from all areas within the electric cooperative network.
  • Highly developed skills in educating/training both small and large groups of electric cooperative senior leaders.
  • Advanced communication and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced writing skills.
  • Developed and proven ability to use Microsoft Office suite.
