Senior HVAC Engineer Opportunity

Gulfstream SP is seeking a highly skilled Senior HVAC Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and implementation of complex HVAC systems for commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in commercial HVAC systems, particularly with large-scale projects, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Complex HVAC Projects: Oversee the design, analysis, and implementation of complex HVAC systems for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • Perform Detailed HVAC Calculations: Conduct detailed HVAC system load calculations, energy modeling, and performance assessments to optimize system efficiency.
  • Develop Accurate Project Estimates: Create accurate project estimates and engage in value engineering to deliver cost-effective and sustainable HVAC solutions.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems with other building components.
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Local Candidate: Must be a local candidate with a stable and verifiable employment history.
  • Commercial HVAC Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC engineering, with a strong emphasis on large-scale applied equipment projects.
  • Industry-Standard Software: Proficient in industry-standard HVAC design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling tools.
Preferred Skills:
  • Advanced Estimating Software: Experience with advanced estimating software and emerging HVAC technologies.
  • Building Codes and Regulations: In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices in HVAC design.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
