We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at DISHER. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential projects across Southern California.
Key Responsibilities- Perform HVAC/mechanical piping/ductwork layout design and drafting using AutoCAD and Revit for commercial, industrial, and residential projects
- Conduct load calculations, equipment selections, and energy modeling to ensure system efficiency and compliance with project requirements
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems into project designs
- Prepare project specifications, cost estimates, and submittal reviews
- Participate in on-site customer visits for project assessments, inspections, field verification, and coordination meetings
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and sustainable design practices (ASHRAE, LEED, Title 24, etc.)
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and construction documents
- Provide support in project management and client interaction to ensure project delivery is on time and within budget
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in HVAC design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, and Energy Pro
- Familiarity with load calculation software
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including energy-efficient design and code compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Based in Southern California and willing to travel for occasional on-site visits
