About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Automotive Sales Professional to join our team at Sonic Automotive. As a key member of our sales department, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their vehicle purchase, providing information about available models, and ensuring a positive buying experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner to understand their needs and preferences, and recommend suitable vehicles.
  • Test Drives: Conduct test drives to showcase features and performance, and provide customers with a comprehensive understanding of the vehicle.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the features, specifications, and pricing of all available vehicle models to provide accurate and detailed information to customers.
  • Sales Process: Guide customers through the sales process, including vehicle selection, financing options, and trade-ins, in a transparent and customer-friendly manner.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate and finalize sales agreements in a professional and customer-focused manner.
  • Follow-up and Customer Satisfaction: Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns, and build positive relationships for potential repeat business and referrals.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Product Knowledge and Enthusiasm: Enthusiasm for automobiles and a genuine interest in helping customers, as well as the ability to stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Time Management and Organization: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Education and Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Previous Sales Experience: Previous experience in automotive sales, with a strong understanding of sales techniques and negotiation skills.
  • Strong Negotiation and Closing Skills: Ability to effectively negotiate and close sales agreements in a professional and customer-focused manner.
