Mechanical Engineer

At Amentum, we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Technical Acquisition Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development of studies and technical evaluations of alternatives for equipment acquisitions, as well as developing specifications to support build to print or design-build equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development of studies and technical evaluations of alternatives for equipment acquisitions
Develop specifications to support build to print or design-build equipment
Support the development of inspection criteria for large fabrications
Develop statements of work and support procurement processes to obtain fabricators
Review submittals from fabricators
Interface with the design engineering organization to update any design media
Interface with WTP or Tank Farm organizations to support replacement of equipment as necessary
Interface with Engineering discipline leads to ensure code compliance
Draft responses to Requests for information and Non-Conformances from fabricators
Support fabricators in walkdowns and testing
Prepare and conduct presentations as needed
Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
One (1) years of related experience
Ability to read basic drawings
Direct experience with the use of Microsoft Office products, Solids works a plus
Presentation and verbal communication skills
