Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Amentum. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical engineering services in support of Double-Shell Tank (DST) waste transfer activities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and approve operating procedures
  • Develop technical evaluations and operability evaluations
  • Maintain the Safety Equipment Compliance database in SPF
  • Perform and/or review calculations (ASME B31.3 for jumper design, pressure and flow transient analysis, etc.)
  • Review and approval of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Document Change Notices (DCNs) to maintain configuration management
  • Conduct field walk downs
  • Design reviews for projects that modify waste transfer system equipment
  • Assist in the planning and execution of field work
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Two (2) years of related experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Past experience working with waste transfer/piping system
  • Nuclear experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills needed to be able to communicate with personnel, management, and support organizations
