Position Overview

Role Summary:

As a Compensation Specialist at SJE Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precise and prompt execution of the complete payroll cycle. This includes managing journal entries and providing support for various financial data, including Accounts Payable, as required.


Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Conduct bi-weekly payroll processing for all domestic subsidiaries with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare payroll balancing reports on a bi-weekly, quarterly, and annual basis, including tax reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance reporting.
  • Manage the processing of W2 statements for all domestic subsidiaries and assist employees with payroll-related inquiries.
  • Oversee the administration of our invoicing and expense management software, Concur, while also supporting accounts payable functions.

Essential Skills:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Experience in processing multi-state payroll, with familiarity in UKG Pro being advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles to effectively handle payroll-related accounting tasks, audit data compilation, and account reconciliations.
  • A bachelor's or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience in payroll processing.
