Responsibilities:
Assist up to 4 Relationship Managers (RMs) in managing client relationships within the portfolio. (Relationship Managers remain the primary contact for all key clients)

Serve as the main point of contact on behalf of the Relationship Manager for a segment of the portfolio.

Engage in client-facing activities including annual review meetings, customer service, and the closing process.

Oversee the collection and assessment of annual financial reporting requirements for assigned relationships.

Collaborate with the Credit Department to conduct annual reviews and process new money requests within the designated portfolio. Provide recommendations for appropriate risk ratings based on financial data analysis.

Manage portfolio reports, including documentation exceptions, maturities, and monitored lines to resolve discrepancies.

Partner with bank colleagues to explore cross-selling opportunities identified through client interactions.

Assist Relationship Managers with deal screenings and preliminary evaluations of significant existing and prospective clients. Work closely with Senior Credit Underwriters to facilitate the analysis and underwriting of complex credit situations.

Review loan documentation and oversee the closing process for assigned relationships.

Collaborate directly with the lead Relationship Manager as necessary, particularly when specialized expertise is required to support the client.

Support the Relationship Manager in presenting credit proposals to Regional Credit Officers and the Loan Committee.


Occasionally accompany the Relationship Manager on visits to top clients to enhance training and development for the Portfolio Manager.


Maintain a thorough understanding of, and ensure compliance with, all relevant laws and regulations applicable to this role, adhering to policies, procedures, and internal controls, while meeting all training requirements promptly.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.


4-6+ years of experience in credit analysis, commercial banking, and business banking, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in portfolio management or underwriting.

Familiarity with loan structuring and documentation is essential.

Strong knowledge of accounting and lending principles, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.

Demonstrated client-facing abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform well under pressure.

USD $80,000.00/Yr.
