Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Optical Inspection Specialist to join our team at BSU INC. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through the use of Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) technology.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct precise automated optical inspections of assemblies, including both start-up and shutdown procedures.
  • Perform non-routine maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance on inspection equipment.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of all production processes related to inspection, applying industry standards and sound judgment to determine acceptable quality levels.
  • Interpret and understand technical documentation, including customer-supplied drawings and parts lists.
  • Act as an authorized representative to halt production when discrepancies are identified, promptly reporting any significant errors to management for immediate corrective measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily AOI operations and ensure proper segregation of rejected products.
  • Assist with visual inspections as required.
  • Ensure compliance with BSU's Quality Management System and adhere to all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through active participation in training programs.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in AOI and/or inspection of electronic assemblies is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transistors, and integrated circuits is preferred.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and following established procedures, with the ability to apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot issues.

Education:

A High School diploma or General Education degree (GED) is preferred, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
