Job Overview

Position Summary: The selected candidate will be tasked with evaluating customer products utilizing the Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system, ensuring compliance with all necessary specifications before proceeding to subsequent processes or dispatch.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct precise automated optical inspections of assemblies, including both shutdown and startup procedures.
  2. Execute non-routine equipment maintenance and adhere to scheduled weekly/monthly preventative maintenance tasks.
  3. Comprehend all production workflows relevant to inspection; apply industry standards and sound judgment to ascertain acceptable quality levels.
  4. Interpret and understand documentation, including customer-provided drawings and parts lists.
  5. Serve as an authorized representative to halt production upon identifying nonconformities, promptly reporting any errors or significant discrepancies to the group leader or management for immediate corrective measures.
  6. Document all AOI daily operational data, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
  7. Ensure rejected items are distinctly separated from accepted products.
  8. Provide assistance with visual inspections as required.
  9. Adhere to BSU's Quality Management System and fulfill other regulatory and statutory obligations as mandated by the customer.
  10. Take responsibility for ongoing on-the-job training by actively engaging in training opportunities.
  11. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in AOI and/or inspection of electronic assemblies is advantageous, with a preference for candidates possessing inspection experience.
  2. Familiarity with electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transistors, and integrated circuits is beneficial.
  3. Capability to read schematics, adhere to procedures, and apply computer skills to troubleshoot technical issues.

Education:
1. A High School diploma or General Education degree (GED) is preferred, or a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
