Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families. This role is responsible for greeting patients in a friendly and courteous manner, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and performing other general office duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, verify, enter, and monitor patient data while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to federal, state, and MaineHealth policies.
  • Utilize strong computer skills and knowledge of office equipment to efficiently manage patient information and perform administrative tasks.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks, including scheduling appointments, processing patient information, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide seamless patient care and support.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous office experience, particularly in a medical setting, is highly desirable.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in office software and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
