Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nursing Educator and Mentor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education and experience in developing and implementing educational programs for nurses.
About the Role:
The Nursing Educator and Mentor will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of our nursing staff. This includes designing and delivering educational programs, providing mentorship and coaching, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Educational Programs: Design and deliver educational programs that meet the needs of our nursing staff, focusing on clinical skills, leadership development, and evidence-based practice.
- Mentor and Coach Nursing Staff: Provide one-on-one mentorship and coaching to nursing staff, focusing on professional development, career advancement, and improving patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, including quality improvement, safety, and education, to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal departmental functioning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN): Required for both Level I and Level II positions.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum 5 years (Level I) or 7 years (Level II) of clinical experience in a hospital setting, with at least 3 years of department/unit/specialty-specific experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Vermont RN licensure and/or Advanced Practice Licensure in Vermont, plus unit-specific training certifications as required.
- Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Strong knowledge of clinical nursing practice, adult education principles, leadership skills, effective communication, and computer skills.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this position is between $33.65 and $58.20 per hour, depending on level of experience and qualifications.
