Rutland Regional Medical Center Job Description
As a Healthcare Educator in our Rutland Regional Medical Center team, you will play a vital role in providing educational and clinical services to patients with chronic diseases. Your primary responsibility will be to empower patients with the knowledge and skills needed to manage their conditions effectively.
About the Role
- Provide patient education on disease self-management, adhering to clinical standards of care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on disease-related issues to serve as a resource for the patient community.
- Participate in health awareness events to increase knowledge and promote healthy behaviors.
- Perform patient care activities for diverse age groups in a clinical setting.
- Advocate for patients using the nursing process, ensuring comprehensive care along the health continuum.
Requirements
- Graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in chronic disease care in a specialty area.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Licensed in the State of Vermont and certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
- Able to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $64,650.00 - $103,230.00, depending on qualifications and experience.
