The Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Director I - SLED to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities, providing product solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining positive ongoing relationships to maximize sales for the company.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed established sales and revenue quotas.
  2. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.
  3. Develop and manage relationships with acquired and/or existing customers to attain additional business and retain existing revenue.
  4. Develop action plans to cross-sell and up-sell accounts to increase overall total customer spend with the company.
  5. Stay up-to-date with new technologies and selling points, including enhancing expertise in Lumen's entire product suite.
  6. Provide comprehensive account plans and strategies to win new business from new and/or existing accounts.
  7. Provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.
What We Look For in a Candidate

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional with a strong track record of success in the SLED and public safety industry. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of industry sales experience, preferably with SLED/Public Safety.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational capabilities, and ability to prioritize with good time management skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry's competitive landscape.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills, as well as proficiency in selling to the close.
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
  • Proficient in MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location-Based Pay Ranges:

  • $77,440 - $103,250 in NE, SD
  • $81,510 - $108,680 in IA, MO, ND, FL
  • $85,590 - $114,120 in CO, MN

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
