About the Role:

The Medical Staff Office Assistant will support the operation of the department by completing assigned Medical Staff Services Department duties. This includes updating databases and other programs, distributing information, and maintaining confidentiality of medical staff and allied health professional activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Update database and other programs monthly following credentialing actions taken by the Board of Directors.
  • Distribute information following monthly credentialing actions to staff.
  • Update database as changes in provider information are received.
  • Assist Credentialing Specialist with distribution of reappointment applications, assembling reappointment files and documents, review of applications received, and update of database with information received on the application.
  • Courteously greet and assist members of the public, the medical staff, and other hospital personnel.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Healthcare experience, database use, Human Resource or credentialing services experience.
  • Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
