Project Controls Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team at BlackRock Resources LLC in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

Job Summary:

The Project Controls Specialist will be responsible for researching and evaluating aspects of potential and existing projects to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large to mega-projects for conflicts pertaining to scheduling, personnel/manning needs, contractor availability, and equipment availability.
  • Recommend course of action necessary to resolve project issues and ensure successful project completion.
  • Interface with project selection group to provide essential information and ensure a thorough understanding of project expectations and risks.
  • Work with industry groups to research and determine availability of external resources that can support project execution.
  • Develop a repository of competing project data to aid in identifying potential conflicts for future projects.
  • Issue bi-monthly progress reports noting aspects of concern and internal/external resources available.
  • Attend project and stakeholder meetings as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction, or Business, or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years experience in Project Analysis, Controls, and Data Analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forecasting Process, and Oracle.
  • Adequate communication skills and ability to learn and/or have knowledge of natural gas equipment.
