Computed Tomography Technologist, Sunnyside, Nights, Part-time 30 hours

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic procedures, using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served, including routine, emergent, biopsy, and/or special procedure examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Communicate all necessary information to other members of the healthcare team and provide service-oriented communication with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Apply appropriate measures (ALARA principles) for minimizing radiation exposure.
- File work/reception/computer, including PACs functions, and administer contrast media as directed, in accordance with all policies and procedures.
- Protocol exams according to established departmental directives and assist with screening patients for contraindications.
- Perform quality assurance functions and troubleshoot equipment, restock supplies, and maintain the general order and cleanliness of the room assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with patient transport and reporting equipment malfunctions.
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a CT technologist within the past 2 years or minimum six (6) months experience in an acute hospital setting within the last year.
- Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required at hire or Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography required at hire.
- Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire.
- Proof of continuing education and mandatory infection control education and training annually.
- Prior CT work experience using helical and/or multi-detector technology.
- Attendance at CT and cross-sectional anatomy courses.
- Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, organizational relations, adaptability, and flexibility.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and policies and procedures.
- Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Science or related field.
