Job Summary

As an EEG Technologist Team Lead at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic Electroencephalogram services in a hospital or clinic setting. Your responsibilities will include performing diagnostic EEG procedures, preparing patients for examinations, and processing records using computer systems. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, restocking supplies, and adhering to department policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic EEG procedures, using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served, to include routine, urgent, emergent, and portable exams in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Process records, including EEG record documentation, technical descriptions of EEG recordings, and patient history, using computer systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, restocking supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to department policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
  • Registered EEG Technologist Certificate within 24 months of hire from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of an ASET-approved program or completion of a formal Electroneurodiagnostic training program.
  • Prior EEG work experience or experience in related diagnostic fields.
  • Basic typing skills and ability to work efficiently with computer systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Additional Information

This position will support the operations at East Interstate and Sunnyside Medical Center locations. The successful candidate will be required to work as needed for vacation coverage, ill team members, and ability to cover sick tech after-hours calls as needed.
