Position Overview:
The Senior Grant Specialist plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and managing grant-related activities. This position involves directing a team of professionals and administrative staff in executing a variety of tasks related to financial management, legislative compliance, and personnel administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide a team engaged in diverse administrative and financial functions.
- Strategically plan, assign, and evaluate the work of a significant administrative division.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget in alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of surveys, studies, and contracts to inform decision-making.
- Provide actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and program effectiveness.
- Prepare detailed reports and correspondence, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Collaborate with management to implement improved policies and operational practices.
- Oversee grant-funded programs, ensuring compliance and effective resource utilization.
- Facilitate the preparation of Requests for Proposals and manage contract negotiations.
- Represent the organization in meetings with various stakeholders and present relevant information.
Qualifications:
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of public administration principles, financial control, and personnel management.
- Familiarity with the legislative process and contracting procedures.
- Proficient in records management and information systems.
Skills:
- Ability to analyze complex data and formulate sound conclusions.
- Proficient in preparing and interpreting statistical reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years in a role related to grant management or a similar administrative position.
Preferred:
- A Master's Degree in a relevant field is highly desirable.
