About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Process Engineer to join our Rapid Prototype Casting Lab (RPCL) team at Pratt & Whitney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our quality and inspection capabilities in support of the production of advanced commercial and military turbine engine components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and hardware to ensure compliance with applicable requirements
  • Support day-to-day manufacturing activities, including the development and release of inspection processes and techniques
  • Procure and maintain inspection tooling and equipment
  • Support shop non-compliance investigations to determine root cause and implement corrective actions
  • Support preparation efforts for internal and external quality audits
  • Develop and deploy standardized quality engineering practices, processes, tools, and methods
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles to develop and prioritize process improvement projects
  • Develop ideas, secure funding, and execute capital equipment projects to improve process capability
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Experience working with nickel alloys and single crystal casting processes is preferred
  • Knowledge of Pratt & Whitney's Quality Management Systems (QMS) is preferred
  • Fluency in product and tooling electronic definition interpretation is preferred
