Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all part number project activities, including tool design, gauge design, and supplier selection.
  • Lead APQP processes for assigned projects, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Mentor junior engineers and oversee engineering interns, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Contribute to process improvement projects and operational reviews, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Resolve part number scrap/defect issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to find solutions.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing procedures, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Stand in for process/manufacturing engineers and plant managers as needed, demonstrating leadership and adaptability.
  • Deliver customer technical sales presentations and seminars, showcasing expertise and building relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical engineering field and 5+ years of foundry experience.
  • Preferred experience in investment casting, with a strong understanding of related processes and technologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and MiniTab software, with a focus on data analysis and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication skills for internal and external interactions, with the ability to read and interpret complex documents, blueprints, and customer specifications.
  • Advanced mathematical skills, including statistical concepts like Six Sigma and SPC, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IATF/AS quality system requirements and policies, with a commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Knowledge of 3D solid modeling and GD&T principles, with a focus on design and manufacturing.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, with a focus on data analysis and presentation.
