Job Overview

The Regional Human Resources Director offers strategic direction and support to leadership within designated regions, focusing on best practices across key HR functions such as employee relations, affirmative action, compliance with employment laws, performance management, policy execution, compensation strategies, succession planning, change management, talent retention, and conflict resolution. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality HR services to all employee levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and investigate sensitive and complex employee relations matters objectively and effectively, providing resolution recommendations to leadership.
  • Align HR strategies with business objectives; act as an internal consultant to leaders on organizational effectiveness and emerging HR initiatives.
  • Serve as a seasoned change agent, adept at influencing experienced business leaders and implementing enhancements.
  • Foster strong working relationships with leadership, management, and employees through proactive and timely responses to employee relations issues.
  • Collaborate with HR subject matter experts, including Compensation, Training, and Recruiting, to execute strategic plans for assigned business areas.
  • Facilitate meetings and develop training programs on HR-related topics as necessary.
  • Oversee the performance management process, guiding managers on documentation, coaching, and performance improvement plans.
  • Provide policy guidance and interpretation of state-specific and federal labor laws.
  • Support corporate management goals by promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Maintain effective personnel management and employee relations, including performance evaluations and employee counseling.
  • May involve recruiting, training, developing, and supervising personnel.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources; prior experience in multi-location healthcare is preferred, although other relevant experience will be considered.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality HR services across all employee levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse personalities at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated independent judgment, a high level of confidentiality, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • SPHR/PHR certification is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of HRIS and payroll processes.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is essential for this role.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook) with advanced Excel capabilities; proficiency in USRC applications is required within 90 days of hire.
