Customer Support Associate

Key Responsibilities
1. Operate all necessary equipment efficiently.
2. Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
3. Prepare products according to company standards.
4. Receive and process customer orders via telephone.
5. Conduct inventory checks and complete related documentation.
6. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facility on a daily basis.
Training
Orientation and training will be provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Ability to understand and provide accurate written instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions/Skills
1. Proficient in basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with the ability to use a calculator.
2. Capable of making accurate monetary change.
3. Strong verbal, written, and telephone skills for order processing.
4. Good motor coordination to perform precise movements quickly and accurately.
5. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Environment
Exposure to:
- Varying weather conditions when performing outdoor tasks.
- In-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in the cooler to over 90 degrees in some areas.
- Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped spaces, including walk-in coolers.
- Hot surfaces and tools, with temperatures up to 500 degrees or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensory Requirements:
- Ability to talk and hear on the telephone.
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
- Depth perception and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperament:
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and collaboratively, manage stress, meet strict quality control standards, interact with people, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
Physical Demands
Standing:
Most tasks are performed while standing. Walking surfaces include ceramic tiles and linoleum in food processing areas. Work surfaces are between 36 and 48 inches high.
Walking:
Walking is generally for short distances and durations.
Sitting:
Paperwork is typically completed at a desk or table.
Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries occur twice a week or more, unloaded by team members using hand trucks. Deliveries may include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds with dimensions of up to 3 x 1.5 feet. Cases are lifted from the floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72 inches high.
CARRYING:
Large cans weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces, are carried from the workstation to storage shelves. Occasionally, pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds is transported from storage to the front of the store. Trays of pizza dough, weighing approximately 12 pounds each, are carried three at a time over short distances.
PUSHING:
Pushing is necessary to move trays placed on dollies, requiring a force of up to 7.5 pounds.
CLIMBING:
Team members may occasionally navigate stairs or climb ladders for tasks such as changing prices on signs or performing maintenance.
BENDING:
Forward bending at the waist is required at the pizza assembly station, with limited knee flexion.
SQUATTING:
Occasionally performed to stock shelves and clean low areas.
REACHING:
Continuous reaching is necessary for various tasks, including turning oven controls and changing prices on signs.
