Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Experience Design Lead to join our team at State Farm Insurance. As a key member of our Experience Design team, you will play a crucial role in advancing the practice of Experience Design across the Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of talented UX designers, coaching and guiding them on the effective utilization of journey maps as a valuable data input and a tool for enhancing user experiences.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, to identify needs, define opportunities, and generate innovative ideas that align with the team's goals.
- Proactively champion the use of journey maps as a powerful tool to uncover user pain points, map out user flows, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive the creation of impactful and actionable insights derived from journey maps, using them to inform and guide the design process.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and ideation, facilitating workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas that are grounded in user needs and desires.
- Continuously evaluate and refine our journey mapping process, ensuring its alignment with industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Stay at the forefront of UX research and design methodologies, sharing knowledge and insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of applicable work experience in a User Experience (UX) team with a specific focus on Journey Management - the ongoing practice of researching, measuring, optimizing, and orchestrating a customer journey to improve the customer experience for users and achieve business goals.
- Strong people leadership skills and user experience sensibilities.
- Ability to coach teams through the adoption, scaling, and maturity of the practice of journey management.
- Self-sufficient in listening to needs, defining opportunities and pushing ideas and co-creation to meet the needs of the greater team.
- Be able to be hands on in the creation of experience design artifacts, journey maps, conceptual designs, process, and strategy.
- Experience leading large enterprise-wide customer experience journeys in an agile environment.
