About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Experience Designer to join our team at Cardinal Health. As a key member of our Product Experience team, you will be responsible for designing and developing digital products and services that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop design solutions that meet user and business requirements.
  • Design and develop low-fidelity prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs for various digital products and services.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design solutions are feasible and meet quality and usability standards.
  • Partner with product managers to validate problems and solutions through discovery and research.
  • Analyze customer feedback and apply learning to design solutions.
  • Consider the whole system and each detail from the user's perspective.
  • Communicate design process and rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and iterate on internal workflows and processes.
  • Identify assumptions and effectively test them.
  • Determine quantitative and qualitative insights and translate them into actionable design tasks.
  • Apply human-centered product design philosophy to deliver better products and build a competitive advantage.
  • Establish relationships with cross-functional teams and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate qualities of transparency, trust, vulnerability, psychological safety, and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in product design utilizing a human-centered approach.
  • Clear grasp of best practices for designing digital products and habits to stay current.
  • Experience designing both digital products and systems, and working directly with an engineering team.
  • Experience with IA, journey mapping, and interaction design.
  • Proven visual design and creative development skills.
  • Experience with observing/co-facilitating basic user research, service prototyping, or usability testing.
  • Solid visual, verbal, and written communication skills required for great storytelling.
  • Comfort designing within a modern product design lifecycle.
  • BS/MS degree in human factors, design, psychology, sociology, or relevant experience.
  • Experience designing in healthcare for relevant segments.
  • Conversant understanding of strategy, operations, and technology behind healthcare businesses.
  • Experience designing with data, including modern data visualizations.
  • Experience with software development.
