About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Child Life Specialist to join our team at Elliot Hospitals Women's and Children's Services. In this role, you will work closely with families and healthcare professionals to provide emotional support and promote effective coping mechanisms for children facing medical procedures and hospitalization.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide child life services to hospitalized patients and their families
- Coordinate assessments of emotional, educational, and recreational needs of children and families
- Promote effective coping through play, education, and self-expression activities
- Prepare children for hospitalization, clinic visits, surgeries, and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures
- Foster positive relationships within the hospital and community

**Requirements:**
- 2 years of experience as a Child Life Specialist required
- Bachelors degree with emphasis on human growth and development, education, psychology, or a related field preferred
- Certified Child Life Specialist required
- Previous experience working with hospitalized and healthy children preferred
