Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team at U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence throughout the plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage lean manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Track and drive CI projects to completion, identifying and facilitating process improvement projects
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing/business issues, and create process documentation
  • Lead, train, and coach cross-functional teams to implement improvements and embrace lean culture change
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel to improve existing processes, increase safety, and solve ergonomic concerns
  • Implement 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, and Standard Work projects
  • Assist champions of other CI projects as necessary
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or 10+ years of equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years experience in lean manufacturing environment
  • Lean Six Sigma Green belt preferred
  • Experience with leading project teams
  • Experience with Lean Systems Implementation in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent technical skills (mechanical/machining/Special Process)
  • Ability to effectively manage Lean or Kaizen events and supporting resources
  • Ability to influence leadership across functions, and at many levels from shop floor to conference room
  • Strong analytical & coaching skills. Goal to develop Lean experts throughout the plant
  • Transparent, results-oriented, and accountable with strong customer focus
  • Must be passionate about results gained the right way, through the development of people and processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing, transforming environment
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office experience with emphasis in Outlook, Excel, Project, and Powerpoint
  • CAD knowledge preferred
  • Occasional travel, less than 10%
