Job Summary:

The ALS Association is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Development Leader to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our fundraising efforts in the Great West Territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the Great West Territory, including peer-to-peer fundraising, corporate engagement, and individual giving.
  • Lead and manage a team of development staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure successful execution of fundraising programs.
  • Collaborate with revenue source leaders, including Major Gifts, Corporate, and Planned Giving, to develop and enhance fundraising initiatives.
  • Proactively stay up-to-date on current industry practices and standards, ensuring that our fundraising programs remain fresh, competitive, and effective.
  • Ensure development staff effectively implement strategies throughout the Territory, with a focus on growing participation and retention, maximizing corporate opportunities, and maximizing fundraising potential.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of development experience, including experience in non-profit event management and peer-to-peer fundraising.
  • Proven track record of management of Peer-to-Peer campaign fundraising, with a focus on strategic planning, financial management, volunteer management, and team building.
  • Experience in recruiting and managing Territory and National Walk Teams and Corporate Partners.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills, with excellent analytical ability and excellent written and oral communication skills.
