We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pest Control Worker/Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. As a key member of our Custodial Services department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a pest-free environment and ensuring the proper functioning of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and treat campus buildings and grounds in accordance with Integrated Pest Management Program guidelines and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate pest infestations, sources, and damages, and maintain accurate records of work activities.
- Coordinate pest control activities with building occupants and stakeholders, and establish and maintain warning signs as necessary.
- Support the Custodial Equipment Repair Shop by moving equipment, installing restroom cabinets, and performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of relative work experience and/or education in pest control or equipment maintenance.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions, and maintain accurate records.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with a commitment to quality work.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a Nebraska Pesticide Applicator License within 6 months of employment.
- Vocational training in pest control or related certifications.
- Experience in agricultural, structural, lawn, and/or ornamental pest control activities.
- Nebraska Pesticide Applicator License that includes the categories 08, 08w, and/or 09.
