Job Description

EdVoice is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operations Officer to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the COO will be responsible for developing and maintaining the operational infrastructure to support our schools.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in operations management, with a strong background in strategic planning, team management, and financial management. They will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures, as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the schools.

The COO will work closely with the CEO and other members of the leadership team to achieve the organization's goals and objectives. They will be responsible for developing and managing budgets, overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensuring that the organization's operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the schools
  • Oversee the development and implementation of budgets
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage the operations team

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in operations management
  • Proven track record of success in strategic planning, team management, and financial management
  • Strong background in education or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and experience working with underserved communities
  • Proven track record of success managing school employees to achieve ambitious goals
  • Knowledge of K-12 education and education reform

Compensation and Employee Requirements:

Full-time exempt position with an annual salary range of $160,000 - $205,000 - based on experience. Competitive medical benefits, retirement plan, and exceptional growth opportunities.

Working Conditions and Employment:

Regular requirements to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Occasional evening or weekend work, occasional travel, willingness to be trained as needed.
