Rocket Engine Sensor Design Engineer

At Blue Origin, we are seeking a highly skilled Rocket Engine Sensor Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our small, passionate team of experts, you will be responsible for developing instrumentation solutions for rocket engines, delivering qualified instrumentation solutions, and creating sensor and instrumentation engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.
About the Position:
You will work closely with sensor vendors to develop sensors that can perform to requirements in challenging environments, perform sensor acceptance testing, and oversee test campaigns at vendors. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and debug sensor/instrumentation anomalies, identify root cause failure modes, and formally document findings. To ensure success in this role, you should have a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or Physics with electrical experience, or an Electrical Engineer with extensive mechanical experience. You must also have 2+ years' experience designing, testing, calibrating, and maintaining sensors & instrumentation.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year.
