About the Role

This part-time position involves working as a Nutrition Assistant in various locations within the Portland Public Schools District. The role requires flexibility, as assignments are made via phone call between 6:00AM - 6:30AM, and shifts vary between 2 to 5 hours daily, scheduled between 7:30AM and 2:30PM.

As a Nutrition Assistant, you will be responsible for serving delicious, nutrient-rich meals that support lifelong wellness for students in our community. You will thrive in food preparation activities and provide exceptional customer service. You will be a team player who supports teammates in different kitchens across Portland.

The ideal candidate will be able to work quickly and efficiently following verbal and written instructions, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in uniform. You will also be able to receive directions in English over the phone and at the work site, work with money, and maintain a current Multnomah County Food Handler's Certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals to students
